Our Passion:

Living free of what we are not, and living freely in what we are!

We started this journey with Awaken for the heart of every woman to be free! For us to lay aside the burdens of our heavy loads and find time to sneak away to be with our first love. To find refuge, safety, joy, love and freedom there. Our God is a God of romance and adventure and we all too often miss His sweet whispers when we are preoccupied with the list of our days. He wants our hearts - all of us! He wants us to walk in freedom from lies and wounds that choke out His spirit and prevents us from receiving all He has for us. At Awaken, we want our brokenness to be turned to beauty through the touch of our King and through His healing power. The enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy, but God has come to bring life and life to the fullest. This is the heart of Awaken - this is the freedom we believe the Lord wants to give through these retreats. To see women free of what they are not, and living freely in who they are.

If the only thing you accomplished today was loving the person you are, as you are, then that is enough. You are enough - you are His delight. Awaken to His love!

Our inspiration:

"...Till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your righteousness and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah (meaning: my delight is in her) and your land Beulah (meaning: married); for the Lord will take delight in you..."

Isaiah 62:1-4 (parenthesis added)

What We Believe:

If we confess to know anything, it is that God sent His one and only Son to be the Savior of a hurting and lost world, and die a grave death for our sins. [For I resolve to know nothing while I was with you except Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2]

It is our desire to speak out of love and humility. [Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:1]

We want to love and honor God, and love people. ["The most important one," answers Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater then these." Mark 12:29]

Our beliefs are based on the Word of God. [All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17]

Above all, our hope is that you leave our retreats awakened to His perfect love for you. [And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13]
